Vernon Paul Utley, age 85, of Heth, Arkansas, passed away on December 6, 2025. He was born on October 17, 1940, in Parkin, Arkansas, to the late James and Nellie Utley.
Vernon proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was wounded in action on July 31, 1968, while serving in Vietnam. After his military service, he continued a life of dedication and hard work, retiring as a truck driver after 33 years. Vernon was known for his love of the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nellie Utley; four brothers; and four sisters.
Vernon leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Violet Bradshaw Utley; his son, Brad Utley (Jodi); his daughters, Anna Peer (Preston), Tania Doran (Gregory), and Amanda Morrow; his grandchildren, Zachary Utley, Boston Dauwer, Brooke Dauwer, Daniel Gibson (Corali), Emily Doran, Eric Doran and Sarah Utley; and 7 great-grandchildren. His legacy of strength, service, and love will continue to live on through each of them.


Mrs. Violet - We will miss Vern here on Earth but what a Glorious Reunion he is having in Heaven. Remember, to cherish all the memories that you both shared throughout the years. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time. -The Dawson Family

I drove for the same company that Vern retired from. He was a good friend and made an impact, not only in my life, but my family's lives as well. He will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered. We are praying for his loved ones during this trying time.
