Cecil Wayne Lockley, 82, of Cherry Valley, passed away on November 25, 2025. Born on May 25, 1943, Cecil was a hardworking man whose life was rooted in dedication to family, faith, and the land he tended. After completing the fifth grade, he went on to farm for the rest of his life, a calling he embraced with pride, grit, and deep commitment.
Cecil loved the simple joys that made life meaningful, especially hunting and fishing. Whether in the fields he worked or the woods he roamed, he found peace in the outdoors and shared that love with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Leslie Lockley, and his brothers, John David Lockley and Walter Hampton Lockley.
Cecil is survived by his children, Allen Wayne Lockley and Rhonda Jane Lockley; and his siblings, Barbara Nevada Williams, Charlotte Ann Gage, Peggy Louise Lockley, Dorothy Mae Crossman, Lonzo Wesley Lockley, and Christopher Houston Lockley.
He leaves behind a legacy carried on by his grandchildren, Michael Anthony Guevara, Tiffany Alexandra Pipes, and Christopher Allen Lockley, as well as his great-grandchildren: Peyton Lee Pipes, Kayden Michael Pipes, Everlee Nevaeh Pipes, Madison Ayla Guevara, Maci Ann Guevara, Haven Reed Guevara, MaymieJane Ivy Guevara.
Cecil will be remembered for his steadfast work ethic, his love of the outdoors, and the devotion he showed to the many family members whose lives he touched. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
