May 6, 1952 - December 1, 2025

James Marshal Eaton, M.D., 73, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away at his home on December 1, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 6, 1952, he lived a life marked by service, compassion, and devotion to family and community.

Dr. Eaton pursued a calling to medicine that led to a distinguished career as an Anesthesiologist. After completing medical school, he served honorably as a Major in the United States Army, an experience that strengthened his discipline and commitment to others. Throughout his decades in practice, he cared for patients with calm expertise and unwavering professionalism, earning the respect of both colleagues and those under his care.

Outside his medical career, Dr. Eaton valued pursuits that brought balance and fulfillment to his life. He was a dedicated practitioner of Martial Arts, enjoyed offering thoughtful guidance to others, and remained an ever loyal supporter of Mississippi State University football. In retirement, he devoted himself to working with individuals in Recovery, providing support rooted in empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help.

Above all, Dr. Eaton treasured his family. He found great joy in the life he shared with his wife, Wendy Bettis Eaton, and took immense pride in his children, grandchildren, and extended family. His love for them was constant and deeply felt.

Jim is lovingly remembered by his wife, Wendy Eaton, his brother, Rick Eaton, children, Christian (wife Deana), Mandy (husband John), and Sarah (husband Scott), and three stepchildren, Evan, Megan, and Jacqueline. He held the honored title of Peepaw for twelve grandchildren, Taylor (wife Kari), Lexi, Rachel, Reygan (husband Cameron), Maddy (husband Kalem), Ashlin, Austin, Trey, Abby, Ethan, Aubrey, and Jackson. Three great grandchildren, KJ, Sawyer, and Adaline were cherished by Peepaw as well. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, A. C. and Lorene Eaton. His legacy endures in the many lives he touched through his service, his work, and his quiet generosity.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Parkinson's Foundation in his memory.
