Katherine C. Stroud, age 82, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home on December 4, 2025 after bravely battling Alzheimer's disease for several years.
Katherine was born on February 1, 1943 in Elmhurst, Illinois to the late William and Ethel (McCain) Price. On April 9, 1983 she married her beloved husband of 42 years, William Stroud, whom she first met over the phone while working as a service operator for the telephone company.
Their love story blossomed into a lifelong partnership filled with devotion and joy.
A faithful member of St. Barnabas Anglican Episcopal Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas, Katherine lived her life guided by faith and kindness. She had a deep love for flowers and found joy in tending to her garden. Known for her outgoing nature, Katherine cherished every opportunity to visit with others, leaving lasting impressions on all who knew her.
Katherine will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband, William Stroud; six children; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ethel (McCain) Price and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at St. Barnabas Anglican Episcopal Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2:00PM with Bishop Hutchens officiating. Katherine's final resting place will be in Georgia.
Her warmth, faith and love for life will be greatly missed but forever cherished by those who knew her.

We are so sorry to hear this. She was such a sweet lady and friend. She had a very uplifting spirit. Always so happy to see and visit with anytime we were together. She will be truly missed by all that had the pleasure to know her. Prayers for the family 🙏❤️
