Hazel Erlene Lovell, 91, of Tyronza, AR passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born on June 4, 1934 in Waterloo, AL to Herbert and Flora (Wood) Sharp. Hazel was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Lovell; her parents; brothers, Ofard Sharp, Franklin Sharp and Walter David Sharp; sister, Lorene Sharp Hanback and brother-in-law, Ray W. Hanback; grandchildren, Michael Smith and Jeramy Gilbert and nephews, Donnie Hanback and Tommy Hanback.
Those left to cherish the wonderful memories of Hazel are her children: son, James E. (Joan) Smith Jr. and daughters, Barbara (Robert) Ross and Jo Ann Morgan; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica and Beth Ross, Joey Smith and Emily Smith Gillis and Shaun Morgan; great grandchildren, Ava Willingham, Wren Churchwell, Erica, Houston and Austin Gilbert, Gracie, Anna and Hayes Smith, Ross Sullivan, Cash and Reid Gillis, Cody Morgan, Lynden Collier and Carson Collier; great great grandchildren, Riley and Abi Gilbert; brothers, Earl (Barbara) Sharp and Charles (Alice) Sharp; nieces and nephews, Jane (Jeff) Cavitt, Retha (Johnny) Ross and Danny Hanback and many more family, friends and loved ones.
A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Tyronza Cemetery with Eldron Gill and Larry White officiating.
A visitation will precede the service beginning at 1pm at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home (1900 W. Washington Ave., Jonesboro, AR 72401).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Hazel's memory to the food bank of the Tyronza Baptist Church in Tyronza, AR.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
