Freedia Mae Winter, 94, of Conway went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was born September 17, 1931, in Conway, AR to the late Jefferson Davis ''Bill'' Avra and Audra Fortner Avra. Freedia was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Lewis Winter, daughter, Lisa Winter, and son, Eddie Winter.
Freedia is survived by one son, Mike Winter (Cyndi), granddaughter, Alison Joiner (Kevin), grandsons, Zach Wyatt (Callie), and Adam Winter (Ashlyn), three great-grandchildren, Lily, Harrison, and Rory, and numerous extended family and friends.
Freedia was a longtime member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Conway and was employed for over 30 years as a secretary with Hendrix College. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. Most of all she enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's activities. Freedia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2pm, December 5, 2025, at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
