Carter Davis Wilkins, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025. He was born on September 21, 2005 and during his twenty years of life, he brought joy, kindness and lasting memories to all who knew him.
Carter was a graduate of North Little Rock High School and his next adventure was set to be the start of his welding career; a path he looked toward with excitement and determination. Carter was a lifelong member of Lakewood Methodist Church, where he worshiped alongside his grandparents. A former Cub Scout and Boy Scout, Carter embodied the curiosity and adventurous spirit those programs instill. He cherished the outdoors and found great happiness in hunting deer and ducks, fishing for anything willing to bite and spending time surrounded by nature. When he wasn't outdoors or gaming, he enjoyed taking peaceful drives in his truck with country music playing. Above all, he treasured the close relationship he shared with his parents and his older brother, who remained the center of his world.
Among Carter's greatest passions was cooking. He was known for his strong opinions about seasonings and took great pride in preparing meals for those he loved. Some of his most treasured moments were spent cooking alongside his granddaddy during the holiday season; memories his family will forever hold close.
Carter was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dr. Calvin Wilkins and his beloved dog, Hershey.
He is survived by his parents, Karena Wilkins and Thomas Wilkins; his brother, Cameron Wilkins; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Wilkins; his maternal grandparents, Rebecca and James Deitz; his loyal companion, Harley and a wide circle of extended family members and friends who were deeply important to him.
In lieu of flowers and plants, donations may be made in Carter's name to Arkansas Chapter Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to the UAMS Cystic Fibrosis Clinic.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood Methodist Church in North Little Rock with visitation beginning one hour prior.

My deepest condolences to the Wilkins family. I had the privilege of watching Carter grow up through Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and those memories have stayed with me over the years. He was always full of energy, curiosity and a bright spirit that made every meeting and camp out better. Watching him mature, take on challenges, and support his fellow Scouts was truly an honor.
