Peggy Lynn Pegg Miller of Maumelle, Arkansas passed from this earth on November 21, 2025 at eighty-one years old after battling breast cancer for several years. Peggy was born in Batesville, Arkansas on July 3, l944 to Sylvia and Dolph Pegg. She held a BA degree from Arkansas College, a BS degree in Social Work and a MSW from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Phillip Miller, a local architect; as well as stepdaughters, Mrs. Tamera Miller Weaver of North Little Rock, Dr. Toni Miller Darville of Chapel Hill, NC and Amber Wilhelm Schaeffler of Jerrico, Vermont. Additional survivors include her sister, Marian Beth Clark Highsmith and Beth's three adult children, David Clark of Heber Springs, Sylvia Clark Betts of Decatur, Alabama and Suzanne Clark Bennett of Shelbyville, Tennessee. Additionally, she leaves behind a loyal canine supporter in Alexander (Alex) the Great, her best friend and pal.
Peggy co-owned a furniture store in Batesville, "Russ' Home Furnishings" until she moved to Little Rock in 1988. She then taught graduate level social work at UALR for 20 years. Since retiring from teaching, she maintained a private practice in counseling. Peggy leaves behind a number of clients, colleagues and friends, including her exercise group from Maumelle Senior Center, who enjoyed her sunny nature and contagious positive spirit. Peggy was a member of First Methodist Church of Maumelle.
Funeral services will be held at Roller Chenal Funeral Home Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1:30p.m.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the local animal rescue facility in Maumelle in her memory because she was a lover of all God's animals and pets.
