Barbara Rodgers Williams

of Baton Rouge, LA

November 9, 1938 - November 12, 2025

Barbara Rodgers Williams, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, formerly of West Memphis, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025 at the age of 87.

Born in Baton Rouge on November 9, 1938, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Howard and Myrtle Rogers, who preceded her in death. She grew up with a deep and enduring faith in God, a faith that guided her throughout her life. Barbara loved going to church and attending Sunday School, where she found joy, fellowship and strength. In her younger years, Barbara was a devoted and spirited tennis player. She carried that same energy into the other things she loved, especially shopping. If the bridges were open, you could often find her in Memphis searching for the best deals, exploring local shops and delighting in finding just the right treasure. She had a special appreciation for small stores and local businesses, where she always felt at home.

Barbara leaves behind her three sons, Rodger Williams, Chris Williams and Winston Williams, who will forever cherish her love and guidance. She also had a special love for her grandchildren, Austin and Cailen Williams, who brought her endless joy and pride.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil Williams Jr., with whom she shared many beautiful years.

Barbara will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering faith and the warmth she brought into every room. Her legacy of love will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.
