Brenda Carol Newman, 55, of Jonesboro, AR passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born on February 23, 1970 in Vardaman, MS to Jessie Lamar and Shirley Ann (Fitzgerald) Harris. Brenda was a loving homemaker and enjoyed television shows, especially crime shows. She was of the Baptist faith.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dorothy Herman and an infant brother and infant sister.
Those left to cherish the wonderful memories of Brenda include her loving husband of 39 years, Larry Newman; her children, Thomas Newman, Margaret Newman, Teresa Newman and Stephanie Newman; granddaughter, Lily Waddell; sisters, Charlotte Sosa and Mary Seal and many nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Shiloh Church (CR 773 Jonesboro, AR 72401). Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 5-7pm at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home (1900 W. Washington Ave., Jonesboro, AR 72401).
Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
