My dad was a farmer. I used to carry a ham sandwich to school for lunch. Herbert carried a twinkie or cupcake. We swapped! I wanted the cupcake and Herbert wanted the ham sandwich. Rest in peace Herbert. Love ya, William.

Dear Margie and the boys,

When I was first brought into the Watson family, I’ll always remember Sunday afternoons at yalls house when Church was over, football was on, and we were about to eat good and watch the grandkids run around. It really feels like all of that was just yesterday. Herbert always made a point to ask what I had going on, and knew how to talk to people. And there was no doubt he showed how much he loved his family, how much he loved you, Margie, and how strong his faith was. So sorry for yalls loss. With all my love, Richard Bright (a.k.a. Aunt Jerry)

Dearest Margie and family. I have no words, all I can do is offer condolences and pray for you in this time. Brother Herbert was an amazing man of God and it was an honor to know him and hear him preach. I know he is enjoying the quintessence of heaven and being in the very presence of the Father. His work for God here on this earth has certainly earned him a very special place in heaven. Sending much love to you and family
