David R. Dearien of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on November 8, 2025 at the age of 65. Born on April 6, 1960, David was the son of David Edwin Dearien and Barbara Jean (Purdom) Dearien. He was a lifelong resident of Mountain View, Arkansas, where he was known for his quiet strength, generous spirit and dedication to family and community.
David attended trade school and became a skilled taxidermist, a profession that reflected his deep appreciation for nature and his meticulous attention to detail. He was also a talented carpenter like his father and took pride in the legacy of craftsmanship and hard work passed down through generations.
David was of the non-denominational Christian faith and was saved, a source of peace and strength throughout his life.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and found joy in shooting guns, gardening and spending time outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his loyal companion, Patton, who was always by his side.
David is survived by his sister, Rita Smith (Fred); brother, Rick Dearien (Maxine); his special friend, Michelle Hendrix; many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends who will remember him for his kindness, gentle humor and steady presence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Edwin and Barbara Jean (Purdom) Dearien and his wife, Colleen (Green) Dearien.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Tim Clark officiating.
Pallbearers are Jim Bob White, Brody White, Kevin Phillips, Lance Apple, Lance Buchanan and Dean Kirby.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Zini and Staff.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

David was my brother's brother in law. My understanding of David was that he was a great guy and he loved going fishing with my brother Fred. He will be missed greatly by family, friends and his buddy Patton...
