James Willis McDaniel

of Conway, AR

February 22, 1950 - November 3, 2025

James ''Jim'' W. McDaniel, born February 22, 1950, died November 3, 2025, he is survived by his wife, Deborah K. McDaniel of Mayflower, son Paul A. McDaniel of Cortez, Colorado, daughter Shannon L. Green of Mayflower, and granddaughter Madison A. Green of Little Rock. As a husband, father, and grandfather he nurtured his family with wisdom, patience, and an ever present sense of humor that brought light to even the darkest moments. His door was always open, and his heart was a refuge for family and friends alike.
Jim lived a life marked by service, love, and an unshakable commitment to Christ. As a devoted member of Mayflower First Baptist Church, he served his congregation with humility, whether through teaching Sunday school, volunteering for the less fortunate, or offering a kind word to those in need. His faith was the foundation of his life, guiding his actions and inspiring those around him with purpose and grace.

Jim was my best friend all through elementary school, junior high and high school in Pocahontas. A really good guy who left us too soon. RIP Jim!

Jim was such a good friend and coworker. I’ve known him since the same day we started at Arksys back in 1988. Jim always let us know where he stood with God and Jesus. He had such a great way of telling stories that put you at ease and made you laugh. I know without a doubt that Jim’s up in Heaven telling stories and enjoying meeting our savior face to face. I’m so sorry for Debbie and his family and will be praying for you all for comfort and solace in this time of loss.

Mr McDaniel will be greatly missed. He and his wife and daughter are our neighbors and we were so blessed to have them as neighbors. He always had a smile and kind words whether we were standing at the fence talking or caught him on a walk. It’s odd not to hear his Jeep start up everyday. No doubt he is with his Savior now. Praying for Grace and Comfort as the family endures such a huge loss.
