Edwin Wayne Kerr, 83, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord peacefully on November 3, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife and family members.
Born on February 5, 1942 in Quitman, Arkansas to William Vernon and Martha Leona Clay Kerr, Ed lived a life rooted in faith, service and love. His gentle spirit, steadfast devotion and genuine care for others left an enduring mark on every congregation he served.
Before entering the ministry, Ed served his country with honor as a Specialist 5 in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was an armored vehicle crewman. His courage and sense of duty reflected the same quiet strength that guided his life of faith and family.
Ed had a love for travel, working in the garden, antique shopping and restoring old furniture. He also loved spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Clement Kerr, who describes him as Godly, caring, intelligent, witty and loving. Together, they shared a deeply joyful marriage built on faith and devotion. He is also survived by his son, Marcus Wayne Kerr and his grandson, Ethan Wayne Kerr and two sisters, Helen Kerr Williams and Mary Kerr Ausbrooks (Ralph).
Ed is also survived by his bonus children, Amy Clement Hernandez (''Nash'') and their children, Louis and Chloe Sasser and Zakariah Hernandez and Meghan Clement Follis and her children, Grant and Sarah Follis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom loved him dearly and were blessed by his presence in their lives.
Ed had a bachelor's degree in education from UCA and seminary degrees from Oakland City College and the St. Paul School of Theology.
Those who knew Ed will remember him as a devoted man of God, a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather and a faithful servant who lived out his calling with humility and grace. His legacy of love and faith continues to shine in the lives of all who were touched by his ministry and friendship.

My prayers go to all the Kerr family. May you forever remember the wonderful times you had with Top. He was a great man of God!

My condolences to Brother Ed's family and friends. He was a beloved pastor when I became a United Methodist at Paris UMC and baptized both of my children. I remember his kindness, gentleness, and his great sense of humor. We have fond memories of his ministry at Paris UMC and as I soon went into ministry as a UMC local pastor and elder, I have thought of him often. Thank you for sharing him with us, i know he loved and was loved deeply. My prayers for all of you.

Jan, my deepest sympathy and prayers for my dear friend at this time. May The Lord give you strength and comfort.

Sending prayers and peace to you and your family. What few times I got to spend with Jan and Ed were so enjoyable. You are a strong lady and I know that time will heal but knowing Ed is home now and at peace. Love you Jan...

Please accept our deepest and most sincere condolences.

All the family is in our prayers
