David Paul Whitman, 76, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Paris. He was born on November 24, 1948 in Paris to his parents, Houston C. and Muriel Lorene (Walker) Whitman.
David was a retired Unites States Army National Guard veteran. Throughout his working career he retired from Safeway and later owned his own "Guy's Chips" business. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paris. When he wasn't doing something outdoors he could always be found spending quality time with his family.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Linda Trusty and three brothers, Muriel Whitman, Earl Whitman and Mike Whitman.
He is survived by his two daughters, Denise Forst and husband, Doug of Scranton and Christy Clark and husband, Kelly of Greenwood; one sister, Erma Smith and husband, Guy of Fort Smith; two sisters in law, Andra Whitman of Paris and Sue Whitman of Ozark; seven grandchildren, Tori Forst and fiancé Evan Gray, Trace Forst and wife, Amanda, Jackson Bridges, Addison Bridges, Jared Clark and wife, Christy, Cameron Clark and Chasity Bennett and husband, Levi and four great grandchildren, Ridge Gray, Taytum Gray, Adley Clark and Cason Clark.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Paris officiated by Rev. Harlin Brewton. Burial will follow in Caulksville Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
The Pallbearers will be Trace Forst, Jackson Bridges, Evan Gray, Frank Whitman, Michael Whitman and Cole Smith.

My sincere condolences to you and your family... I knew David when I was a teenager and I would help him on the church van...he would drive and I would ride in the passenger seat and get out and let the other passengers into the van and then get back into the van myself before we would go on to the next house...he was always a funny man, always joking with me about something....

David was one of my favorite classmates (class of 66) He was so friendly and always had a big smile on his face. I remember square dancing with him in grade school and he kept us all laughing. I miss David and his big heart, but he is keeping all the angels entertained. Rest in peace dear friend

So sorry for your loss of David. I have known him my whole life ( from going with my Daddy to Houston's Service Station). He always had a big smile and was ready for a good conversation.
