Ronald "Ronnie" L. MaddingI am a Veteran.

of Little Rock, AR

December 26, 1946 - November 2, 2025

Ronald ''Ronnie'' Lee Madding, age 78, of Little Rock, Arkansas entered into his heavenly home on November 2, 2025 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, June; a son, Darrell Madding of El Dorado, AR and daughter, Leigh Ann Davis (Steve) of Little Rock; 5 grandchildren, Jordan Pakis, Sydnee Madding, Marla Madding, Ryland Madding and Abby Davis and one great-grandchild, Elias Loyola; one sister, Chandra Vaughn (Rodney) and a whole host of family and friends. He preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Vivian Madding.

Ronnie was a member of the Beebe School Board, the Albert Pike Memorial Masonic Temple and the Gum Creek Hunting Club. He was also a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he was a Tele-Bible teacher, a deacon (also at First Baptist Church Beebe), an active member of the Prayer Warriors Sunday Bible School class, where he served as the social chairman and actively served the Lord's Supper elements with shut ins.

As a wordsmith, he was a natural storyteller and poet and as an author, He published Deer Camp Chef which included many of his recipes, stories and poems. Ronnie loved to serve others by cooking for them.

In addition, Ronnie loved his family, friends, bridge, dominos, cooking, poetry writing and hunting, but nothing more than how much he loved Jesus. His witness goes well beyond this life in the hearts of those around him.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025 in the sanctuary at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock with Pastor David Moore officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Sylvania Cemetery in Ward, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church City Center, 315 North Shacklford Road, Little Rock, AR 72211.

I worked on his equipment at Tin Man Recycling. I consider him a friend and a brother. I pray his people are just richly comforted and blessed. May the hope we have in Christ be on your mind. It won’t be long till I shake his hand again.

I never met Ron but became friends on FB when his coworker, Darrell Cook, was having health issues and Ron would keep me informed on Darrell's well being. I really will miss his post about the Bible, politics, etc. I really learned a lot and learned quickly that he loved Jesus and was a Godly man. I will continue to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers until we meet again.

JUNE, DARRELL & FAMILY, I'M SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THIS. I JUST TALKED TO RONNIE A WEEK OR TWO AGO. HE MEANT A LOT TO ME AND MY SON AT OUR OLD DEER CAMP. MY SON STILL TALKS ABOUT HIS COOKING TO THIS DAY.
BUT I KNOW WHAT KIND OF MAN HE WAS, A GOD FEARING MAN, THAT WASN'T AFRAID TO SPEAK THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE.
WE WILL MISS A RONNIE MADDING, FOR SURE!!! BUT HEAVEN WILL NOT

Ron was a great Christian man who was a delight to share conversation. He was always sharing the gospel and we know, as result, he is receiving many crowns with our Lord and Savior. May the power of the Most High God provide the family with comfort during this time of grief. Love all of you.

I received many prayers over the years from Mr. Madding while cutting his hair! He was an excellent story teller. Our last visit a few weeks ago was nothing short of a God moment. He proudly told me that he and June (my junie as he would call her) had been married for 50 years. He explained how she believed in him when he first started his business and at times didn't know where he was going to get payroll from but then God happened. He explained that God ALWAYS happened. I believe deeper and more bc of him. Such an agent of Jesus!
