Virginia Cullum

of Clinton, AR

August 17, 1930 - October 29, 2025

Edith Virginia Cullum, 95, of Clinton passed away at Southridge Village in Heber Springs on October 29, 2025. She was born on August 17, 1930 at Center Ridge, Arkansas to the late Samuel Thurman Stephens and Mary Holloway Stephens of Choctaw.

With the exception of a short time in Antonito, CO, she lived her entire life in the Old Choctaw, Choctaw and Clinton communities.

Foremost, she was a devoted Christian, wife and mother. Her family always came first regardless of her sacrifice. She was a homemaker, seamstress, gardener, amazing cook and cattle rancher. She worked at Belden Corporation, volunteered at Choctaw Food Bank and organizations throughout Van Buren County. Her true passion in life was spending time with her Grandchildren, Jason and Sherri. Her biggest obsession; a freshly mowed lawn.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Waymon James Cullum; brothers, Samuel Richard Stephens, George Herman Stephens, and sisters, Margaret Ann Binns and Martha Jean Kidd.

She is survived by her daughter, Christi Lyn Martin (John) of Clinton AR; sons, Samuel Leonard Cullum (Leda) of Russellville, AR and James Waymon Cullum (Martha) of Clinton, AR and a bonus son, Steven Ray Nunley of Clinton. Grandchildren include Sherri Lynn Keeth (Adam) of Bentonville, AR, James Jason Cullum (Beth) of Lenexa, KS, Jennifer Joye Martin of Rockville MD and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until noon on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. Funeral services will follow at noon. Virginia will be laid to rest in Hunter Hill Cemetery beside her beloved husband, Waymon.
