Shirley Ann Bailey

of Marion, AR

September 15, 1938 - October 29, 2025

Shirley Ann Sides Bailey, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 surrounded by her family at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR, after her courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born September 15, 1938 on Island 40 to Homer and Elsie Sides. She was a 1957 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She retired after 35 years from Kay Furniture. After her retirement, she volunteered at Crittenden Memorial Hospital as a member of the ''Pink Lady's Auxiliary''.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth ''Stone'' Bailey; her parents and her siblings, Bo, Raymond, Cathy, Jean, Pearl and Herman. She is survived by her children, Linda Cooper (Garry), David Gustavus, Michelle Floyd (Michael) and Camille Stallings (Michael).

Her greatest joy in life was being ''Grams'' and ''Gee'' to Amber Rice (Jerry), Bradley Gustavus, Brandon Stallings (Lindsey), Mallory McInvale (Logan), Emily Gentry (Myles), Jacob Cooper, Allyson (Justin), Kaitlynn, Wilson, MaryEllis and James.

Shirley had a gift for bringing people together. Whether it was a Wednesday dinner or a "Saturday with Shirley" day out, she made every moment feel special. She had an incredible talent for selling furniture at Kay's. She had an eye for design and her charm and honesty made her not just a great salesperson, but someone people trusted and loved working with.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10 to 11 AM, with a memorial service at 11:00 am. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR. In her memory, donations may be made to Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House at St. Bernards in Jonesboro, AR.

Ms. Shirley, There is too much to say about her. One she was a dear friend to my mother Frances Bradley. She could see me miles away always come over to me to give me a hug and a smile! One precious precious lady! She always took care of my furniture needs when I got married. Loved her. She was Kay’s Furniture. Without her it would not have been the furniture store to go to! My heart is with you all!

Ms. Shirley was my Mother’s best friend and our next door neighbor for many years. The last time that I saw her was at my Mother. Mary Ann’s funeral. They had a special bond, and I am so grateful that my Mother had such a dear friend. I grew up knowing Ms. Shirley, and she was always very nice to me. She even coached a softball team that I played on as a kid. I have many fond memories of her! I am so sorry for your loss David, Michelle, Camille, and Linda. My heart goes out to you all.

Michelle and family, I'm so sorry to hear about Shirley's passing. I have known her since I was a toddler as my parents shopped at Kay's Furniture Store. What a wonderful lady she was and what a legacy she leaves behind. May her memory be a blessing to all that knew her, Godspeed Shirley.

David and Linda I am so sorry to hear about Shirley’s passing. I’ve known y’all for many years though haven’t seen each other in years. I know this is a hard time to endure. Look at Jo. 5:28,29 where is talks about a resurrection.
