My wife Pat and I have know Stan and Lisa since Jamie and our daughter Annalee were pals at the start of grade school. I've always enjoyed Stan's sense of humor, and I'll miss that.
His death was a shock, and we were so very sorry to learn of it. Stan was a good Christian man who had a lovely family. The world is a bit grayer now that he has gone, but Heaven is a happier place. I can just see Our Lord belly-laughing at some of Stan's remarks and observances.
God's comfort and richest blessings to Lisa, the girls and the rest of Stan's family.

I am saddened by the passing of my friend Stan. We met and became friends 35 plus years ago at Helmich. Stan was a great guy…smart, funny and big hearted! I stopped by often to visit with Stan and Chris about cars, family, faith and life in general. The West brothers never steered me wrong! I believe they have landed in a great seat with our Lord above!!! Lisa, prayers to you and your family as you go through this difficult time.

So sad to see the notice of Stan’s passing. I have never met Stan or any of the family in person, but we discovered we were distant cousins. I sure enjoyed his wit. He sure seemed to be a good man and I wish I would’ve been able to meet him.
Rest in peace cousin!

Charlotte and I are truly sorry about the passing of my cousin Stan. For many years while I was growing up in NLR, our family would always stop by to share some time together on Christmas Eve at JN and Jane West’s home. Most of the West family was there. Chris and Stan were always caring and loving to my mother “Aunt Martha” who lived to be 92. Stan was a wonderful, loving and caring person who will be sorely missed by everyone who was blessed to know and have him in our lives. May memories of all of the good times give the family some comfort and peace in the days ahead…

Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I got to know you back when we worked together at Oakbrooke. Sincere sympathy to you and your family. Sharon Rogers

Somewhat distant relative. Very sorry to see him pass. I met his dad when he was a teenager.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this difficult time. I knew Stan from when him and Lisa went to First Lutheran. He was truly a wonderful and caring person who will be miss by all who knew him. Praying that the Lord wraps His arms around you all to give you the comfort only He can give.

Stan was such a kind soul, always ready to dish out a smile or a joke, whatever was needed for the occasion. His FB posts were so funny that I frequently shared with my husband. He will be sorely missed. 😢🙏

I'm going to miss my dear cousin. I was only 3 years old when he was born. This is just way too soon for him to be gone.

Richard and I are holding you all in our hearts. 💞
We met Stan through Helmich’s - we will always remember him as a stand-up guy, dedicated to his customers. He took great care of our cars and our kids’ cars and all those we referred to him through the years.
And we miss the funnies he would post on Facebook. Some days he would get on a roll and make us LOL all day!

Christy, I'm so sorry for your family's loss. I'm praying for comfort, strength, and peace for you and your family.

I first met Stan in 1975 at Helmich Mobile Service Station at Kavanaugh and Beechwood. The kindred love of all things automotive had made us friends for the last 50 years. Stan was more a brother to me than my own brother. He will be missed more than loosing my own brother.
Safe passage my friend, and god speed

Kurt and I were saddened to hear of the passing of Stan. He was a good man, always smiling. He will be remembered and missed. Our deepest condolences to his family.

We will always remember Stan as the loving, supportive, and funny man that he was. He loved his family and friends, was an honest and hardworking businessman at Helmich and was dearly loved by all. He will be sorely missed. Rest In peace. Our love and healing hugs to all.

Stan and I were cousins and we both had great memories growing up on lake ouachita what great times they were. RIP My Friend

We live up the alley from Helmich, where we took our cars for maintenance for many years. Gus would also walk down just to visit with Stan. Both Stan and Chris were excellent service people and are greatly missed in the Hillcrest neighborhood.

Stan was always friendly and funny with a great sense of humor. I visited with him often at Helmich automotive in Hillcrest and later at lake Ouachita. My prayers are with Lisa and family!
