Luther Glynn Jones of Marianna, Arkansas passed away on October 24, 2025 in Memphis, Tennessee. Glynn was born in Howell, Arkansas on July 25,1935 to Walter Luther Brooks Jones and Lillie Estelle White Jones. He was a 1954 graduate of T A Futrall in Marianna. On October 21,1961, he and Geraldine ''Jeri'' VanHouten were married at Second Baptist Church in West Helena Arkansas. For over 30 years he was employed by the Arkansas Highway Department, upon his retirement he went on to work as a rural mail carrier and a hobby farmer. He enjoyed church league softball and basketball pick up games.
Glynn trusted Jesus as his Savior at 18 years of age. His love for the Lord was central to his life. He was a member of gospel singing groups throughout his life. Singing of his Savior's love brought him great joy.
Glynn is preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Glynn Jones; brother, Sherrald Jones; brother, Eugene Jones and sister, Bernice Jones Doss.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri Jones of Marianna; daughter, Karen (Dennis) Brock of Marianna; son, Patrick Jones (Kim Wallace) of Harrisburg, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kalee Brock, Hannah Brock, Sarah Grace Brock, Lilly Brock, Bo Brock and Cade Brock of Marianna; Tyler Williams of Batesville Arkansas; Savannah Jones and Madelyn Jones of Greenbrier, Arkansas; sister, Merle Jameson of Searcy, Arkansas; brother, J.B. ''Brevard'' Jones of Lexa and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Jones, Donald Jones, Charlie Jones, Danny Jones, Jason Henson and Cotton Greenway.
Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Roller Citizens in West Helena. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Roller Citizens in West Helena. His nephew, Dr. Kelly Jones, will officiate and eulogy by Mark Rice.
Interment will follow at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas.

Jeri and Glenn were so special to my Mom, Emma Maxwell White, she love traveling with them when they sang. Praying for Karen and all the grandkids and there son.
