Gwenda Erline Lockhart Turnage was born in Augusta, Arkansas on March 30, 1946 to the late Eldon and Dora Lockhart.
Gwenda, better known as Gwen, was 79 years of age and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Gwen was a member of Vine and Branch Ministries in Vilonia, Arkansas. She was always proud to say, ''The Pastor is my son.''
In addition to her parents, Gwen is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Turnage; a sister, Joyce Lockhart and a brother, Carroll Lockhart.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Johnnie (Donna) Merriman of Vilonia; daughter, Deanna Cameron (Jerry) of McRae; two sisters, Lucille Jordan and Suzanne Kerns both of Searcy; Six grandchildren, Daniel (Brandy) Merriman of Rosebud, Lora (Doug) Curl of Enola, Scott (Allison) Merriman of Greenbrier, Nikki Cameron of Des Arc, Hunter (Amber) Cameron of McRae, Cody (Bethany) Cameron of Beebe and a host of other family and friends.
Gwen was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a fantastic cook and loved to dance. Her family loved to gather together for good food, music and fun. She is dancing with the angels.
	
	
							  

An Angel sent from heaven to bless her family and friends and has now gone to reap her reward in heaven!


Truly I am sorry for your loss. I pray God will bring comfort to your broken hearts during this time.

Prayers for the family. Mommas been gone 4years and as difficult as it is, I know she is with my Lord and in a much better place.

I’m sorry for y’all’s loss. She was an amazingly sweet and beautiful woman with the biggest heart. I love you all very much.

We love you so much Grandma! We will you miss you & can’t wait to be reunited in heaven. You were such a wonderful Grandma and I thank God for blessing our family with you.

Gwen, my stepmom was amazing cook, I remember when she got on to me for getting into her deserts. I had a car wreck , God told her to pray ,which she did .little things that made her who she was.prayers for the family
