Martha Kathleen Lavin, 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on October 21, 2025 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Born in Miami, Florida, Martha lived a life filled with love, laughter and adventure, always possessing an independent spirit. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Charles R. Lavin, and together they built a beautiful life. They moved to California in 1963, where they raised their family and made countless cherished memories. In 1995, Martha and Charlie made their home in Arkansas, where, after Charlie's passing, she continued to live with grace and strength.
Martha had a deep love for horses and dogs and found great joy in spending time riding and horse camping with friends. Her dogs were always by her side, while riding, driving through town or sleeping at home. Another abiding interest of Martha's was collecting gemstones and beads, turning them into beautiful jewelry. She was also known for her exceptional skills in the kitchen-her cooking brought people together and nourished both body and soul. Adventurous and independent, she lived life on her own terms, embracing each chapter with courage and warmth.
Martha is survived by her loving brother, John Keiser; sisters, Judy Moeller and Joanne Bell and her devoted daughters, Catherine Stotesbery (Gregg), Tracy Lavin-Kendall (Curtis) and Kelly Moedl (Roger). Martha was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren and a great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Charles R. Lavin and her twin sister, Mary Moran, with whom she shared a lifelong bond.
Martha's life was a testament to strength, love and the beauty of living with passion. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Hospice House of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, in honor of the loving care and compassion shown to Martha in her final days.

Love you, mom. I will cherish the memories of laughter, cooking, riding and so much more. Forever in my heart!

Mom, I will forever miss you .. you are forever in my heart & I know so many things will remind me of you as I go through life without you . I am so happy that you’re reunited with Dad . Love you forever , Cath

Lovely lady, lovely family. Love to all!

I’m so saddened to hear of Aunt Martha’s passing but relieved to know she was so well taken care of at the end of her life. I have such fond memories of seeing her at the annual Lavin Christmas Party and visiting her, Uncle Charlie and the girls up in mountains. Love and hugs sent to Cathy, Tracy, Kelly and families.

I remember Martha so fondly from the Keys growing up. She was a few years older but always so kind to the younger girls. She and Mary were a great pair - so full of life. My mom Jane was also very fond of them both.

Such a lovely woman , her family was very blessed with her life and theirs

A life well lived is always followed by warm memories of those she touched.

Such a wonderful tribute to Aunt Martha, my mom Judy Moeller's sister, who we lovingly call Boppa because as a kid my brother Rick could not say Aunt Martha and it came out Aunt Boppa. We loved our Boppa! Everyone did! She was so loving and fun, I especially remember her big dinners, cooking chili rellenos for everyone with laughter and kindness. She was always so interested and us and wanted to hear what was going on in our lives. She will live forever in our hearts! You daughters surrounded her with so much love to her final day, all that love will live on and on. Love you all, cousin Julie
