Mr. James Conklin, 87, of Lakeview, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 in Mountain Home. He was born on November 30, 1937 in Alpha, Iowa to Kenneth and Katherine (Goodnow) Conklin. He was married to Ivadell Minton for 51 years. He was an Army veteran and small business owner who enjoyed woodworking, traveling, making sweets for the holidays and loved his dogs. He was also a very meticulous mathematician.
James is survived by two children, Jason Conklin and Lori Bergum (Glenn) and three grandchildren, Candi, Danielle and Amanda. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister, Ardath.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Hospice of the Ozarks for all their love and care for their father.

Jason, sorry to hear. I remember the guys playing penny-ante (maybe more) ha-ha.... I wanna say at Spring Valley next to Hardees. (back then Mid-Town Package) Anyway Jason, sorry to hear and always nice to bump into you in Town and Country Discount Foods. Take care my friend.

Mr James Conklin and Jason lived across the road from us got to meet him a couple of times and he was very sweet and nice man and a master at baking he was loved and respected by family and friends Jason his son and was very devoted to caring for his father and took very good care of James mind body and soul.
