Scott and Vickie, I am so sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Joan was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed. I will never forget going over to her house with Danny to fix the lights around her house, she would always invite us in and try to send something home. It will not be the same with her gone. Yall are in my prayers.

Vicki and Scott. Yall's family has been in my life literally since the day I came into this world on 21st St 58 years ago, and your mom was a bright star in it always. As a kindergartener at FBC she helped me with art projects. My first art teacher, and I was so lucky. Trips to the pool were so much more fun when she and Vicki were there. She probably saved my life one summer day when I was riding my bike from baseball practice at the old Fitzhugh Park back home to Quail Valley. It was extra hot and she hooked me up with AC and a cold drink and a rest so I could make it the rest of the way. And all the trips she and my mom and "the girls" made were always so much fun to hear about. I loved her creativity, her kind spirit, and she was so generous. If there is a Branson in heaven, I know she has already picked Elma Raye up and they are driving in the turning lane to pass all those slower saints to get to the best shopping spots. The world is so blessed to have had time with her. My heart is with you all.

In our thoughts and prayers,
Phyllis, Alan, Paige, & Andrew Vickery

She felt so loved and seen by them.

I am so very sad to hear of Joanie’s passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to Vickie, Bryan, Scott, Cindy, and all those who love and miss her. Joanie was a ray of sunshine in this world. I will always remember the good ole days when we moved from Missouri to Batesville, and my family and I lived in the same neighborhood as she did. She and Vickie were the very first people I met in Arkansas. Joanie would often tell me how when my brother Lance was a little boy that he walked over to her house, rang the doorbell and ask for a chocolate chip cookie. She and I would always laugh about that. I remember the beautiful arrangements she made, and the joy it brought her to share them with others at Christmas. Even as I grew up and moved away, we would still send birthday cards to each other every year; I will miss that. Joanie had a pure heart of gold that is rare in these days. She taught me a strong work ethic, and I enjoyed working with her at Coleman dairy for many years. She was an amazing example to me of strength, kindness, love, and forgiveness. An example of what a true lady and godly woman should be like. I am blessed beyond words to have known her, and so very thankful to have had her in my life. She made this world a much better place. Rest in peace precious friend; u will always and forever hold a very special place in my heart.
