January 11, 1954 - October 8, 2025

Steven Craig Westbrook, Age 71, of Conway, Arkansas passed away October 8, 2025, with his wife of 41 years Pam by his side.

Steve was born January 11, 1954, in Herington, Kansas to the late Bob E. Westbrook. He is survived by his mother, Nelda R. (Garver) Watson; brother, Michael Westbrook (Cathy) of Benton, Arkansas; his sons, Matthew J. Westbrook (Jadrien) of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Brian Fry (Marla) of Conway, Arkansas. Steve was Poppy to his grandchildren, Olivia Fry, Madilyn Westbrook, River Fry and Maverik Westbrook, whom he adored. Steve attended The University of Texas, El Paso, Texas and Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. He retired from Harbor Distributing, later Glazer Distributing, where he was named Top Salesman for Arkansas as Category Manager.

Steve was an avid golfer for many years and later traded in his golf clubs for his pride and joy, his good buddy and team roping heel horse, Hondo.

Steve loved his church, Crossroads Cowboy Church in El Paso, AR where he spent much of his time as team leader of the Coggins team. Other than his immediate family, his church and rodeo family brought him immense joy.

Not often are you lucky enough to have a friend who was always there for you, through thick & thin. He would earn your respect with actions, not just talk. They say honor is like a brand on your soul, my friend was as honorable as they come. They say loyalty is like a well worn saddle and will carry you through the toughest rides, my friend was a well worn saddle. Hard to imagine he’s not with us anymore. Heaven has a new heeler and bet he’s already chasing steers. Steve, git after them my friend, LET ER BUCK!

Steve & Pam have been in my life for over 40 years. It all happened on the first, and only blind date I’ve ever had with Steve’s best friend, Bob Fenley. The four of us spent many great times together over the years like meeting other friends and gathering in Ft Worth several years ago to celebrate Steve’s birthday, their visits to Colorado when we when we lived there, going to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, and being there for each other in all of life’s good & hard times. Last September we all went on an Alaskan cruise together and shared more great times that are now cherished memories. I will now hold all of our memories a bit closer to my heart since Steve is no longer with us, a fact that I’m still struggling with. All of those memories bring a smile to my face and I’m so grateful for them. It’s always been “ Steve & Pam”, a package deal. They shared a wonderful life and made a home together for 40 plus year; what a blessing they were to each other to the very end. I will miss Steve not being in my life, in fact, it actually hurts. I know that Steve is in his eternal home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so my heart rejoices knowing I will see him again.

I remember going with Pam to the rodeo stands and watching Steve, when we were VERY young. From the moment she met that young, handsome cowboy, she adored him. I was at their wedding, and that love endured through a lot of thick and thin.

Pam, I am so happy you had Steve for as long as you could, and so glad he had you beside him every step of the way.
