Sue Roller Jenkins

of Little Rock, AR

April 15, 1940 - October 9, 2025

Sandra Sue Roller Jenkins, age 85, of Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 9, 2025.

A licensed funeral director, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and servant leader, Sue Roller Jenkins lived by the guiding principle that became her family's enduring mission:

''To serve as we would be served''

The daughter of Denver and Christine Roller, founders of Roller Funeral Homes, Sue was born on April 15, 1940 and raised in Mountain Home, Arkansas, where faith, compassion and service were cornerstones of family life. In 1954, the Rollers moved to Little Rock, where Sue began ninth grade and immediately met her future husband, Lynn Jenkins. The two were married while Lynn was attending the University of Arkansas and during his service as a Naval Officer they lived in Naples, Italy where they welcomed their two children, Renata and Hunter.

Upon returning home, Sue and Lynn joined her parents in continuing the Roller legacy. Together, they guided Roller Funeral Homes into a new era of service and growth and built Citizens Fidelity Insurance Company into one of Arkansas's largest domestic insurers, helping families prepare for the financial costs associated with death with dignity and foresight.

As a licensed funeral director, Sue brought an unmatched level of care and professionalism to her work. She oversaw much of the company's marketing and community outreach, personally shaping the warm, comforting environments for which Roller facilities are known today. Her leadership reflected a perfect balance of faith, grace and sound business judgment.

Sue and Lynn's influence extended well beyond their profession. Together, they were recognized with the Governor's Corporate Humanitarian Award for their decades of giving back to Arkansas communities through both philanthropy and volunteerism.

Their generosity touched nearly every corner of the state.

She and Lynn were also steadfast supporters of Hospice of the Ozarks, Jericho Way and the Jenkins-Byler-Roller Family Foundation, reflecting their shared commitment to improving lives through compassion, education and healthcare. She was a founding member of the Arkansas Youth Suicide Prevention Commission and Hospice of the Ozarks. She was a member of the Baxter County Historical Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

In her own words, Sue once said ''Our philosophy, 'To serve as we would be served,' is not one which is in print only, but lived by our family and our co-workers daily.''

Those words became more than a company motto, they became a way of life, embodied through her daily acts of kindness and through her unwavering care for families in their hardest moments.

Sue was a longtime and faithful member of First Christian Church in Little Rock, where she found strength, fellowship and peace. She was known for her radiant smile, her thoughtful leadership and her quiet ability to make everyone feel seen, valued and comforted.

Her legacy continues through her husband, Lynn Jenkins; children, Renata Jenkins Byler (Tim) and Hunter Roller Jenkins; her grandchildren, Christina Byler, Danielle Luebke (Brandon), Hunter Jenkins II, Christopher Jenkins, Denver Jenkins and the generations of co-workers and families she inspired throughout Arkansas and beyond.

Her life was one of faith in action, a shining example of love, integrity and service rendered ''With All Her Respect''.

Visitation will be Monday, October 13, 2025 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. followed by funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home officiated by Mr. Chuck ''The Pigskin Preacher'' Monan. Entombment will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Arkansas at the Garden of the Sun Mausoleum.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Mariann Harrington and her colleagues at CARTI, Baptist Health and Baptist Hospice. Special thanks to Bonita Promisee, who has become part of our family.

Memorials may be made to Providence Park, Pulaski Tech Scholarship Fund or the Funeral Science Program at ASU-Mountain Home.

To the family - those related by birth and those related by employment:

I offer my sincerest condolences to each and every one of you. It is impossible to have known Sue and not feel a deep sense of loss with her passing. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone she met feel valued and loved, no matter how small their role in her life.

She lived fully and generously, leaving an enduring mark on all of us who were fortunate enough to know her.

Lynda and I extend our most heartfelt condolences to Lynn, Renata, Hunter, Tim and the entire family upon the passing of our beloved Sue. Sue was one of the kindest, sweetest persons I've ever known. When I look back on our time with Sue and Lynn in Mountain Home, serving so many of the old natives and friends of the Roller family, "Precious Memories Flood My Soul". Though the cross of arthritis that Sue bravely carried prevented her from standing long hours working funerals, her quiet, reassuring presence at funerals was felt by the many families we served. One of the greatest honors of my life was to have served all three generations of the Roller family and to count them as my friends. May Sue's humble soul rest in peace.

Dear Cousins,
So sad to learn of Sue’s passing. I recall when I first met Sue many, many years ago. We were visiting from KC and Sue was dating my cousin, Lynn. I was young and thought she must be a princess. She was so beautiful, kind and gracious. And, throughout her life she was beautiful, kind and gracious both inside and out. She will be missed by all…
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Both Christie and I are very sorry for the loss of a wonderful lady. Sue and the entire Roller family gave me my start following a career in the military. It didn’t take long to earn their confidence. Whenever they had family or a friend with a loss they came to me to handle. I have many great memories that I will hold dear during my time with the Roller organization. Blessings and God’s love surround not only the family but everyone at Roller.
