Mike Cantwell, age 65, of Colt, Arkansas passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on September 30, 2025. He was born on April 29, 1960 in Houston, Texas to the late Cliff and Dorothy Cantwell. The family moved to Arkansas before Mike turned two years old and it became his lifelong home.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Pat Cantwell. He is survived by his fiancée, Minda Brown of Forrest City, AR; three brothers, Marty Cantwell (Judy) of Colt, AR, Jim Haynie of Jonesboro, AR and Bill Haynie (Judy) of Searcy, AR; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Mike was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church in West Helena, AR. After moving to Colt, he enjoyed attending Good Hope Baptist Church and Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He spent his last years using his electrical skills to serve others. He especially enjoyed helping older friends and neighbors, giving freely of his time and talents. His kindness, generosity and willingness to lend a hand will be remembered by all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery, 5741 US 49, West Helena, Arkansas, 72390.
I was so shocked by Mike’s death! The last time I saw him he looked great. My heart hurts for you and I’m praying that God gives you comfort and peace. If I can help you in anyway don’t hesitate to let me know. I went through this in July

Mike was a hard worker loved riding motorcycle with Bubba Laxson. He was a co worker with me at Helena Hospital very kind and friendly. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
