June 20, 1943 - October 1, 2025
Larry Gerald Reynolds, age 82, of Proctor, Arkansas passed away peacefully at his home on October 1, 2025.
Born on June 20, 1943 in Halls, Tennessee, Larry was the beloved son of the late Ewell and Jewell Reynolds. He made Proctor his home for more than 50 years, where he built a life rooted in hard work, family and love.
Larry was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Alisa Rivera (Nick) and Jennifer McDaniel (Brian); grandchildren, Garrett Reynolds, Nicholas Rivera (Brittney), Justin Rivera, Kaitlann Rivera, Faith Bachelor, Jonathan Bachelor, Connor Bachelor, Josh McDaniel and Taylor McDaniel and great-grandchildren, Kenleigh Rivera and Baylor Rivera.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Reynolds; his parents; his son, William ''Bill'' Larry Reynolds; his sister, Bette Beaver and his brother, Ted Reynolds.
Throughout his life, Larry worked as a heavy machine operator, dedicating himself to providing for his family. He was a man who loved the outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing and cherishing nature's quiet moments. One of his greatest joys was Friday restaurant nights with his family, a simple tradition that reflected his deep love and connection to those closest to him. Above all, his true pride and joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom he adored.
Larry will be remembered for his strength, his work ethic and the love he gave so freely to his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to his heart.
Big Daddy! You will be missed. It was pleasure to know you. What fun you were always! You certainly enjoyed the outdoors. I will always remember you taking that moment to grab your pants and give that little tug upward all the time talking. Yes, you will be missed but never forgotten.
Uncle Gerald, your sweet smile and sweeter nature will be sorely missed among the Reynolds clan, especially the Texas branch. Enjoy your time in heaven with Big Mama & Big Daddy, Aunt Carol, and Cousin Bill!
He was one of the finest men I have ever known on my time on this earth. His faith in God, Jesus Christ and the word of God was inspirational. He loved his family without question and he was my friend and mentor. He will be missed. This world needs more people like him.
Jenn I am so sorry for your loss. Know I'm praying for you all in your tie of grief
