Bronwyn Nancy King, 69, of Marshall passed away in her home on September 26, 2025. Bronwyn was born in Fairplay, Colorado on May 30,1956. She was the daughter of Nancy Ruth (Harrell) and Doil Yocham.
Bronwyn graduated High School from Ishpeming, MI. She attended the University of Arkansas before transferring to UCA earning a B.A. in Geography. Following her passion for learning, she returned to school to achieve her B.S. in Nursing.
On May 18, 1975, she married Bob King, living in Little Rock for several years before moving back to their childhood roots of Marshall.
Bronwyn worked as the case manager supervisor for Searcy County Area Agency on Aging and then as the long-term care nurse for Searcy County Department of Human Services before retiring.
As a member of the Marshall First Baptist Church, she was active with the kitchen committee and volunteered in other areas.
As an avid reader, Bronwyn served as president of the Library Board for many years. She was active in numerous community activities serving as treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce for Searcy County, a founding board member of the Boston Mountain Rural Health Center in Marshall, an officer on the Buffalo River Community Development Corporation Board of Directors and participated in many other boards and community clubs. She received the Searcy County Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
She was preceded in death by her father, Doil Yocham.
Survivors include spouse of 50 years, Bob King; two children, son, Jonathan (Melanie) King of Harrison and two grandchildren, Sydney and Piper King; daughter, Sarah (Michael) Flowers of Marshall; her mother, Nancy Ruth Yocham of Harrison; brother, Gary (Bonnie) Yocham of Arizona and other relatives and friends.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buffalo River Community Development Corporation at PO BOX 34, Marshall, AR 72650 or the Searcy County Library.

Bronwyn was a dear soul. She did more than just take up space in this world .... she helped to make our small corner of it better. To say she was a giver is an understatement. What a beautiful, intelligent, person she was. In my duties as Library director, I counted on her level head to help figure "stuff" out. She was always there when called upon. Bronwyn was a leader but never demanded the spotlight. Bronwyn along with other library board members worked tirelessly to give this community a public library to be proud of. She knew God had blessed our public service work. This dedication to God and community spilled over into other numerous projects and her life. She made me a better person, and I was blessed to have known her. I send Prayers of peace and comfort for her entire family. I find comfort in knowing she is more alive now than she has ever been. I also know believers will meet again one day in glory where all tears will be wiped away. Until that day God comfort and Bless us all.
