William Hugh Busbea, 76, of Searcy went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2025. He was born July 21, 1949, in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Dewitt and Winsella Seanard Busbea. Hugh was a longtime member of Downtown Church of Christ who lived the values of his Christian faith. William served his country in the United States Army and Army Reserves for over twenty years. After his retirement from the armed forces, he went on to build a thirty-year career as a Structural Mechanic with Dessault Falcon Jet. He enjoyed woodworking and cooking but was always happiest spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as a humble loving man who was liked by everyone and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Hugh was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Jane Richardson.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty years, Marlene Cooper Busbea; children, Brian (Jennifer) Anderson of Searcy, Joseph (Trisha) Anderson of Greers Ferry, Gary (Sheila) Moye of Judsonia, Dr. Angela (Jerry) Johnson of South Carolina, Audrey Busbea of Colorado, Angel Busbea of Searcy, and Leah (Jody) Roberson of Searcy; grandchildren, Rachel Stith, Vanessa Moffit, Misty Anderson, Monica James, Michelle Hollingshead, Mandy Rigsby, Monica Jenkins, Josh Roberson, Hayden Garner, Hannah Garner, Joseph Anderson and Tricia Anderson; great grandchildren Jed Rigsby, Sawyer Roberson, Elijah Roberson, Kadice Moffit, Arissa Moffit, McKenzie Moffit, Sophia Jenkins, Melody Stith, Harmony Stith, Aria Stith, Oliver Stith, Brianna Reeves, Brandon Reeves and Bailey Reeves; a brother, Tom (Debbie) Busbea; sisters, Ann (Robert) Dixon and Darlene Busbea; close friends Jim and Geraldine Woodell, Charlie Gentry, Leroy Baugus, and John Henderson; along with a host of other family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to his longtime caregiver, Jennifer Anderson, as well as Heather Cloyes and the staff at Arkansas Home Hospice for their compassionate care.
A visitation will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, with funeral services at 11 am. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens.
An honor to serve with William at the 42nd Scout Dog Platoon. Out sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace ole friend in arms.

I am happy that I got to spend time with my cousin Hugh, especially last summer when I was a guest in his home. I know that he was once a warrior but he had a gentle soul and I know that he is at peace. Travel well cousin.
