Katrina Rose Hicks

of Little Rock, AR

October 25, 1940 - September 23, 2025

Katrina Rose Savage Hicks, age 84, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning, September 23, 2025 after a long battle with dementia. She was born October 25, 1940 in Warren, Arkansas to the late Fate and Callie Savage. Katrina was also preceded in death by her eleven brothers and sisters.

Katrina, known by most as ''Trena'', was a hair dresser for over 50 years in Warren and Little Rock and loved all her customers. She was an avid hunter and loved to go fishing with her brother, Carl on the Saline River. She was member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. She loved her church and loved the Lord. She also loved working with her flowers in the yard, feeding and watching the birds and she loved cooking for her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carol Ann (Doug) Shelby of Little Rock, Clay (Sherri) Hicks of Texarkana and Monica (Monty) Kilman of Little Rock; 8 grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell, Zach, Clark, Callie, Logan, Libby and Carly and 17 great grandchildren. Her first great-great grandchild is on the way!

Graveside services will be held at Hicks Cemetery at 10:00am Thursday, September 25, 2025 on Sandy Ann Drive, off Willow Springs Road, (turn by Motely Tree Farm Sign).

I always liked Trena. Met her at church and went to her shop for a while. She always wanted the customer to be her sole focus when they were there. I have prayed for her and now will be praying for the family.

I will miss my dear friend Trena very much. The times we had together sitting at her kitchen table drinking coffee, sharing recipes , planting flowers and just talking were so very special to me. I know how much she loved the Lord and now I can rejoice knowing she is whole again and walking with Him. Prays and love to her family.
