of Searcy, AR
October 26, 1937 - September 22, 2025
Martha Jean Baker Robinson, 87, of Searcy went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was born in Searcy on October 26, 1937 to Adolphus and Bertha Baker.
Martha was a member of First Baptist Church, attending services at The Crossing for 18 years. She was employed by "The International Shoe Company" and "Prince Gardner". She was personnel director at retirement. In 2025, she was named ''The Crossing Sweetheart Queen''.
Martha enjoyed singing, cooking and arts and crafts. She loved creating jewelry and all kinds of crafts for family and friends. Although she only said, ''Back to Better'', when speaking, Martha knew and could sing all the words to her favorite oldie country music songs and especially hymns. She could also say, ''I love you'' and ''I'm pretty good''.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; her sisters, Joyce Rushton, Vesta Ransom, Carolyn Baker and Judy Greer and her brothers, Col. A.J. ''Bo'' Baker and Jimmy Baker. Martha is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Charlie Handy of Bryant; sisters, Sue Osborne (Charlie) of Searcy, Jo Jones of Conway and Becky Harrison (Mike) of Temple, Texas; sister-in-law, Betty Baker of Fayetteville, North Carolina and brother-in-law, John Greer of Conway; a host of nieces and nephews and her family of caregivers at 'The Crossing', who lovingly called her ''Mama''.
Visitation will begin 10:00AM Thursday, September 25th with service to follow at 11:00AM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy.
