Dean Bradley, 85, of Jonesboro, AR passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 at his home. He was born September 27, 1939 in Baldwyn, MS to Audie Earl and Modene (Roper) Bradley. Upon the passing of Modene, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Oriel Bradley. He was a member of First United Methodist Church since the early 1970's, where he taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir for over 50 years. Dean attended college then graduated from the FBI Academy. He worked with the Public Defenders Office and the Jonesboro Police Department where he served as the Chief of Police. He loved doing yard work every day, carpentry work and most of all, taking care of his family.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother; a sister, Shirley Rodgers; a brother, Jr. Williamson and a granddaughter, Tara Smith.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Dean include his wife of 67 years, Hettie (Haag) Bradley; a son, Randy (Margaret) Bradley; two daughters, Donna (Donnie) Hankins and Melissa (Glenn) Smith; 12 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 pm Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Pastor Michael Roberts officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.
Dean's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The Mrs. Harry Hill Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests lasting memorials in Dean's honor be made to the Bradley Organ Fund at First United Methodist Church, 801 S. Main, Jonesboro, AR 72401 or the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 2101 Pleasant Grove Rd, Jonesboro, AR 72405.

Hettie, I’m so sorry for your loss. I knew a lot about Dean long before I met both of you. joe had such admiration for Dean. Then we sang for many years in the church choir. I know how much you will miss him. Good bless you.

Some of my favorite memories are those of growing up as your neighbors on Sutton Drive. He was such a good man and I know you will all miss him terribly.
