Betty Jean Lane Schultz, 81, of Bryant, Arkansas passed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was born on October 24, 1943 in Rochester, New York to Ernest James and Amy Lane.

Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton. She loved teaching and guiding children to Christ through Sunday School and her involvement with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Central Arkansas. She was a member of the Sunshine Circle and loved serving alongside her husband, Richard Schultz. She graduated from Houghton College in New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and taught at Hollywood Christian School in Hollywood, Florida. Later, she became a bookkeeper at the school. After relocating to Arkansas, she worked for the Southern Baptist Foundation. Her memory will be forever celebrated as a wife, mother and ''Mema''. Betty always lovingly put her family before herself. Her dedication to her family and to her Christian faith was like no other.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest James and Amy Lane and her husband, Richard Schultz. She is survived by her daughter, Amie (Jerry) Hurley; two sons, Todd (Lisa) Schultz and Nathan (LeAnne) Schultz; eight grandchildren, Jacqualine Hurley, Courtnie (Drew) Ransdell, Cody (Cheyenne) New, Everett (Karen) Schultz, Savannah Schultz, Julianna Hurley, Kayla Schultz and Jeremiah Hurley; five great-grandchildren, Kyler New, Cade New, Magnolia McSpadden, Giovanni Ransdell and Ivy Schultz and her sister, Mary Krutenat.

The viewing will be held at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Rd., Benton, Arkansas 72015 on September 24, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. (open casket from 5:00-6:00, closed casket from 6:00-7:00).

A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Benton, 211 S. Market St., Benton, Arkansas 72015 on September 25th at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will be held at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Ave., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72120 on October 3rd at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Betty's name to Child Evangelism Fellowship of Central Arkansas, 10421 West Markham St., Ste. 100, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 (cefcar.com).
