James Edward Moore, 78, of Paris, Arkansas passed away September 17, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

James was born June 19, 1947 in Paris to his parents, Harold Moore and Erma Vivian (Goodson) Moore. James was a veteran of the United States Army and owned "Moore Masonry", working for 60 years laying bricks, blocks and rocks. He was a member of VFW Post #8383 and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends, having a fish fry or a BBQ cookout.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and a granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Barbara (Whitson) Moore of the home; three sons, James Paul Moore of Paris, Scott Henry Moore and wife, Tiffinnee of Greenwood and Christopher Patrick Moore and wife, Candace of Paris; a daughter, Angela Layrisson and husband, Mel of Ft. Smith; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and another great grandchild due to arrive later this year; several other family members and friends.

The family will have a private graveside memorial service at Moore Cemetery in Greasy Valley at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
