Eleanor ''Sandy'' Howell passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025 at Baptist Hospital in Conway, Arkansas with her family by her side.
She was born on December 22, 1928 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to Robert and Della Poore. Sandy was a member of First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John H. Howell and seven siblings.
Sandy is survived by her son, John C. Howell and daughter, Jeanine Howell Boice; four grandchildren, Joshua Boice, Sara Boice Kelly, Bobbilyn Boice Pursley and Jason Howell; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held by the family.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Sandy was a member of my Fellowship Sunday School class at First UMC for many years. I enjoyed sharing family stories and lunches with her. I will miss her.

Sandy’s friends at Parkstone Place have missed Sandy since she left here. We are all very sorry to hear of her passing. Joyce and I enjoyed spending time with her at mealtime and during social gatherings. Our condolences to her family and friends. RIP Sandy. We’ll see you on the other side.
