of Jonesboro, AR
May 13, 1942 - September 16, 2025
Mikie Lou (Keasler) Fielder passed from this life September 16th at the age of 83.
The oldest of 3 loving daughters of the late Lawrence and Mary (Dover) Keasler of Paragould, AR, she was the beloved wife of Jerry Fielder for 62 years. They were blessed with 2 sons, Lawrence (Cynthia) and Brian (Valerie) of Jonesboro; loving grandchildren, Ethan Fielder (Keisha), Cayla Fielder Cory (Ethan), Jeremiah, Branden (Taylor) & Lawson Fielder. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Martha Sue Tedder of Paragould and Rebecca Jo Keasler of Rogers. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Cade & Dallyn Fielder, Carsyn & Keslee Cory, Beckett Lockley & Jocelynn Fielder and Brinley & Benton Fielder with another expected in March, in addition to several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her caregiver Rene Nichole Coleman.
Mikie Lou became a Christian when she was an early teen and has served her Lord faithfully ever since, of the Methodist faith. She spent most of her career as an educator in the public school system at Greene County Tech, Oak Grove, Weiner, Westside and Jonesboro and then as a successful realtor. She was also known for her photography and as an avid storyteller of family history, having greatly explored the lineage of her Dover and Poindexter family. It was her last prayer for her children and grandchildren to understand their posterity and to carry a strong Christian heritage throughout their lifetime.
Having suffered from debilitating migraines since the age of eight, Mikie Lou chose to turn her pain into purpose by donating her body to science, hoping that her contribution might bring relief to others in the future.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with John Miles officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 5:00 pm.
Family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Mikie's name to their favorite charity

So many years ago, in the late 1960's, I was a new teacher at Oak Grove School near Paragould. Miki Lou was a good friend for the first two years that I was there. Then she left. and we lost touch. But I have remembered her friendship for all these years. My sincere condolences to her family. She was a joy and inspiration to me. God bless.

My sincere condolences to the family.
Mrs. Fielder was a wonderful, effective teacher. I enjoyed taking her journalism course at Jonesboro High School in the late 1980s, and it was a valuable experience being on the Golden Times newspaper staff under her guidance.
She was always pleasant and such a joy to so many. She will be greatly missed.
