of Batesville, AR
February 4, 1941 - September 12, 2025
Patricia Ann ''Pat'' Martin, 84, of Batesville passed away September 12, 2025.
Pat was born February 4, 1941 in Gurley, Alabama to Alle E. Crowson and Mary Sue Crowson.
She was a member of the North Heights Church of Christ for over 45 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, ''Nanny'', friend and most importantly, a faithful servant of God. Pat and her husband, Bill, continued a family legacy of being hospitable to others. She loved to welcome people into their home for Sunday lunch. She would often seek out new faces at church to invite them for a meal. They would receive so much more than food, a warm and welcoming reception making them feel right at home. She enjoyed feeding others and getting to know them better while sharing stories and laughter. She was a mentor to many younger wives and mothers through the years.
Pat loved her family unendingly. She cultivated a love of singing with her children. While they were growing up, they would sing together on trips or in the kitchen cleaning up after supper. She especially loved becoming ''Nanny'' with the arrival of her first grandchild on her birthday. Her heart and love grew exponentially with each additional grandchild. Whenever family or friends told her they loved her, she would reply with ''I love you more-est''.
Left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, Darin Martin; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Randy Goodman; seven grandchildren, Mallorie (Calvin) Kincaid, Ryan Goodman, Lance (Ally) Martin, Chad (Paige) Goodman, Breanna (Jordan) Allen, Natasha (Andy) Mergy, Jerad Goodman; one great-grandchild, Mary-Kate Goodman and another one on the way, Mason Goodman; brother-in-law, James (Ann) Martin; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Edwin) Parks; brother-in-law, Dennis (Jorene) Martin and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Billy Wayne Martin; son, Billy Wayne ''Bubba'' Martin, Jr.; nine siblings, Robert Crowson, Alle Crowson, Jr., Ruby Hollingsworth, Donald Crowson, Ossie Crowson, Marie Hughes, Carey Crowson, Mary Sue Tipton, Butch Crowson and son-in-law, Donie Bray.
The visitation will be at North Heights Church of Christ beginning at 11:30am on Thursday, September 18, 2025 with the celebration of life at 1:00pm. Matthew Martin and Steve Norris will be officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are her grandsons and Keith Davis.
Honorary Pallbearers are her North Heights Church family and nurses and CNA staff at The Springs of Batesville.
