of Little Rock, AR
April 25, 1946 - September 11, 2025
Patricia ''Trish'' Marie Gilbert, age 79, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. She was born on April 25, 1946, to Harold Maxwell and Marie Cecilia Supplee.
Trish was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she lived until about age 4, before moving with her family to Glassboro, New Jersey. She attended Saint Bridget's Catholic Grade School and later graduated from Glassboro High School in 1964. Trish's love of helping others led her to pursue a degree in nursing at Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing School. Upon graduation, she joined the U.S. Army where she earned the rank of First Lieutenant. Trish served a tour in the Vietnam War, working in an Evacuation Hospital in Vietnam.
After Vietnam, Trish was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where she cared for wounded soldiers. It was there that she met her husband of 24 years, Michael Stephen Gilbert. After falling in love, marrying, and welcoming their daughter Jamie, the couple moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1972 to begin their life together. Trish worked as a Registered Nurse for the Little Rock VA and Baptist Memorial in North Little Rock before pursuing anesthesia school, graduating in 1978. The following year, they welcomed their beloved son, Mikey.
Throughout her career, Trish worked at St. Vincent's Infirmary, Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, and ultimately retired from Baptist Memorial in North Little Rock. In retirement, she found great joy in helping care for her grandchildren, Presley and Jackson, who lovingly knew her as ''Mimi.''
Family was the center of Trish's life. She was happiest cheering for Mikey at Special Olympic events, and attending gymnastics, dance, cheer, soccer, baseball, and football activities for her grandchildren. Mikey was her constant companion for many years, and her bond with him was deeply treasured.
Trish also loved crossword puzzles, playing Mahjong, and volunteering. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church, where she served faithfully by helping with funeral meals for families. She volunteered at Our House and chaired Meet and Greet Little Rock, always giving her time and heart to her community.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael. She is survived by her daughter, Jamie (Patrick) Garrett; her son, Michael ''Mikey'' Gilbert; her two grandchildren, Presley and Jackson; and her sister, Marilyn ''Sissy'' (Charlie) Zellman. Trish also found great comfort in being embraced by her extended Garrett family.
Funeral services handled by Roller Chenal Funeral Home. Visitation at Roller Chenal will be held Wednesday, September 17 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Thursday, September 18, beginning with a Rosary at 9:30am, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Burial will take place at 12:00 noon at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Baptist Home Health and The Blake Assisted Living, as well as Trishs caregivers Camilla, Pam, and Melanie for their loving care and attention. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Trish Gilbert may be made to Pathfinders, Inc. Michael McCreight Group Home, P.O. Box 647, Jacksonville, AR 72078

Jamie and Michael, we are very sorry for your loss. We will miss Trish at our family gatherings. She always made it a point to call afterwards and thank us for cooking and having her and Mike there. Jamie, you did a wonderful job taking care of your mom these last few years! She will be missed, but she is in a better place and back again with your dad.
I attended St. Bridget's School and Glassboro High School with Trish. We were friends throughout these years. We reconnected on FB many years ago. Trish served her country honorably and spent her life caring for others. May she rest in eternal peace.
