Mary Lois Anderson, 84, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away on September 3, 2025 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on March 28, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee to Fred Walker Laxton and Rubye Laverne Moore.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Edward Anderson Jr., whom she married on January 9, 1957. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Thomas Scott Anderson and Dennis Wayne Anderson; grandsons, Raymond Edward Anderson IV and Gregory Allan Albers; her brothers, Frank Laxton and Ed "Ham" Laxton and her sisters, Velma Ferguson and Robbie Laxton.
She is survived by her children, Raymond Edward Anderson III (Cindi Anderson) of Hickory Flat, Mississippi; Cheryl Albers (Phillip Albers) of Marion, Arkansas and Tommie Anderson of West Memphis, Arkansas. Mary leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life, as well as her beloved fur baby and constant companion, Casey.
She was a homemaker who loved the simple pleasures in life watching soap operas, cooking meals for her family, caring for babies and doting on puppy dogs.
Mary's legacy is one of love, warmth and unwavering devotion to her family and our Lord and Savior. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
I am so sorry for your loss. She was a first cousin to me. My father, Hob Moore
lived across the street from her family for years. Ruby was his sister.

So sorry to the family and friends of Mrs Anderson. I pray that you can find some comfort during this time. I'll never forget sleep walking into Mr and Mrs Anderson's bedroom. I completely freaked out when Mrs Anderson sat up in the bed. Ray, Dennis and Scotty told that story and laughed for years. Those were some of the best times in my life. Love you Mrs Anderson!

I was 1 of Ray Anderson good friend in the 1970's I knew Mrs. Anderson.I rode with Ray and his mom to all star games in Jonesboro Arkansas in 1973

I was just thinking about Mary the other day and the last time we sat on her porch, talked and reminisced about old times.
We were neighbors when we were teenagers down on Harrison.
