of Bryant, AR
July 16, 1954 - September 2, 2025
Timothy Lee Friesen, age 71, of Bryant, AR went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 2, 2025.
Tim was born on July 16, 1954 in Henderson, NE to Levi and Elizabeth Friesen. He married Debra Ann Barnes in Omaha, NE in 1981. Together they raised five children, Sarah, Michael, David, Elizabeth and Benjamin.
Tim embodied his own quote ''People Matter'' in how he loved and served the Lord, his family and others. He was faithful in ministering to his family by teaching his children and grandchildren about Jesus and the gospel. Tim was Debbie's best friend, confidant and safe place. He provided for his family well, working diligently as a sales manager, modeling integrity and putting others' needs and interests above his own. He took the time to express to those he loved what they meant to him and was intentional in showing God's love and care to anyone in his path. He also invested his heart and service into Redeemer Community Church as an elder, encourager and friend.
Those who went on to glory before him are his parents, Levi and Elizabeth Friesen and his brother, Ken Friesen.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie; his children, Sarah and her husband, Matt Hobbs, Michael and his wife, Erin, David and his wife, Meredith, Elizabeth and her husband, Zach Rollings, Ben and his wife, Zoar and his 13 grandchildren, Grant, Rylee, Owen, Landon, Levi, Ezra, Eleanor, Titus, Cooper, Zoey, Wesley, Timmy and baby girl Friesen (due in January).
Tim also leaves behind a sister, Ruth and her husband, Dale Strasser; a brother, Lee and his wife, Valerie; a sister-in-law, Amy Friesen; many Friesen nieces, nephews and cousins; Debbie's parents, Jerry and Dolores Barnes; the other members of the Barnes family and all of his church family at Redeemer Community Church.
We are grateful to those who stood with us during this time by providing meals, visiting Tim in the hospital and at home, many acts of service, notes of encouragement and the countless hours of prayers lifted up on our behalf. Our prayers have been answered. Tim is home.
There will be a private graveside service.
A 'Celebration of Life' service will be held on September 13, 2025, 2:00pm at:
Redeemer Community Church
11512 W. David O Dodd Rd.
Little Rock, AR 72204.
Donations can be made to Redeemer Community Church.
''Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides Thee. My flesh and my heart may fail, BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.'' Ps 73:25,26
It was my honor to have known Tim. He definitely radiated the love of Jesus all the time and his smile was infectious. One thing that I really appreciated about him was that when he would take his turn and come up to the front to lead us in the Catechism his heart was so tender towards the Lord that he would come to tears.
Thank you Lord for the time you gave us with him.
How Blessed we are to know the Friesens. A family who truly walks the walk and so willingly shares their love for Jesus. We have such sweet and precious of Tim and Debbie and the family during the growing up years. All our love to all of you!! With deepest sympathy from the Barksdale’s.
Tim was a friend and colleague for many years. Praying for the Friesen Clan to experience God’s presence and comfort during this difficult time. While we miss him we will celebrate a life well lived. Psalms 1:1-3
Tim was the person we should all aspire to be. He was a wonderful man who cared about people and went out of his way to help whenever needed. He was a great neighbor and contributed his time and energy to our neighborhood.
We will miss Tim greatly, we have lost a true friend. We will meet again in our heavenly home.
Tim will be missed, but always remembered as friend and as a great neighbor.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Tim was very kind to me at FIS. He always carried a beautiful smile. May he rest in peace with the Lord.
Tim was a great man, co-worker and neighbor. May God provide the peace and comfort to his family and loved ones that only He can provide. Tim will be missed, but we will see him again for eternity.
Tim was a high school classmate . He always had a smile and an infectious Laugh. So sorry for your loss. Prayers for your family.
Tim was a light and kind spirit in the neighborhood I grew up in. His family carolled that our doorstep every Christmas. He walked with his wife around the neighborhood every single day hand in hand. His faith and his choice to let God's goodness drive his actions towards others have left a lasting impression on me and my fan.
With aching hearts but wonderful memories of Tim, we extend our condolences to you, Debbie, your family, and to Ruth and Dale. Tim introduced me to Carol "the blonde who works in the library" - and he blessed me for the rest of my life - as he blessed me too with that grin and that humor. Along with my three brothers Tim stood with me when I married that Blonde. Of course, not being from NE originally, he made sure that I knew the LEGEND of the Cornhuskers. Many warm thoughts, many good laughs, and many serious spiritual talks - Thank you my Friend. Celebrate in Heaven. To your Family, we hold them in our Hearts. Kevin and Carol Coughlin, Lincoln, NE.
We will always remember Tim as a faithful, loving, servant leader. He loved God, His word and people. That was always evident in his life. Grieving for you guys as you will miss him terribly, but we are so happy for him seeing Jesus face to face and undoubtably hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
I thank God upon every remembrance of Tim, literally.
Praying for the Friesen Family, for God's comfort of hope.
Such a marvelous couple. Loved them both
I love Tim and will miss him much although I know he is doing very well now with his Lord Jesus Christ. He blessed my life! He and I led a small group at Redeemer Community Church for years. His name to me was Barnabus which means “Son of Encouragement” or “Son of Comfort”. He always encouraged me no matter how much I had messed up.
Tim and Debbie have exemplified God’s command to “Love Thy Neighbor.” They were the first to welcome my family into our new neighborhood in 1990. Tim was a shining example of what a Godly husband and father should be. His presence, kindness, and dedication to his family made a quiet, but meaningful impact on the neighborhood children that regularly came in and out of his home to play. No one could ever doubt who and what his family stood for: Jesus. As I lift up the family in prayers for peace and comfort during this difficult time, I also rejoice alongside you all in knowing Tim has finally heard, “well done, thy good and faithful servant.” Well done, Mr. Tim. Until we see you again.
To put it very simply and short: I don't think that I knew a better, more caring Christian gentleman than Tim Friesen. What a loss for all of us, but what a gain for Tim the moment the Lord took his soul into the throne room of heaven. He was a supreme example for all of us. I will deeply miss him, until we rejoice together in the presence of our Lord and Savior!
We are so grateful for the many years attending church together. Tim seemed to always be smiling! Becky and I always appreciated his tender spirit. Tim and his family would come to our house when we lived in Bryant to sing Christmas carols. He always had a gleam in his eye, he looked so happy to be out there with his family praising the Lord and encouraging others. Tim will be greatly missed! Until we meet again in Glory, we love you Tim.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide services for your sweet family. My condolences.
We are so sorry for your loss. Although we didn't know Tim personally, we know he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa from what Matt and Sarah has told us. We will continue to pray for all of you. We are grateful for having Sarah a part of our family. She was raised by great parents. Sending prayers.
Very thankful for your faithfulness to your calling. You were used in mighty ways to draw many into the kingdom, where we can now rejoice, knowing you are with your Savior.
Tim still had the face of a young boy and what was not to love about that impish grin. He will be missed terribly by friends, as well as family. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of many.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers! Tim was THE BEST neighbor. And we're incredibly grateful for his encouraging, kind and intentional interactions over the years.
Elizabeth and Zach, Sarah and Matt.
We are so sorry for your loss. Your Dad has left a strong legacy of Faith that shines brightly thru your families. We pray for peace that passes understanding and for a comfort that only God can give as you grieve with a Hope.🙏🤍 we love you all . ♥️

Debbie and family; We are so sorry for your loss of Tim. Lots of precious memories you will never lose. Thankfully Tim, will be at rest with a clear mind and full sight to see Jesus face to face!
In Christs Love,
Mark & Veronica Friesen
We love you and will miss you so much, Tim! You were always so eager to help when anyone had a spiritual need or problem and we will always remember that about you. We know we will see you again when we get to Heaven and as the song says… What a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory!
I worked for Tim for 6 years at Alltel and Fidelity. He was a wonderful person. Loved his family and a devoted Christian. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
