of Mabelvale, AR
August 27, 1963 - August 28, 2025
Scotty D. Ginn, age 62, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully Thursday, August 28, 2025. Scott was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from Ole Main High School.
Scott was one-in-a-million (more on that later)! Scott began his career at Schneider Uniforms and quickly rose to Manager. In 1997, he convinced Lisa to elope and move to Dallas, Texas where they enjoyed their life with great friends and family. After having moved to Austin, Texas he and Lisa returned home to Arkansas where he worked in the family business, Kerr Paper & Supply, Co.
Scott grew up and was baptized at 47th Street Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Upon returning to Arkansas, he and Lisa made this their home church where he also served as a Deacon.
Scott's favorite pastime was Baseball. He and Lisa loved going to baseball games whenever they could and Scott played in the Senior Men's league until he started spending too much time in the Emergency Room! They made some great friends on and off the field and truly enjoyed those years.
In November 2009, Scott was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP) which affects roughly 1 in a million people annually. Scott proved to be one of the strongest men I've ever met! He took this beast of a disease head-on, did not complain and worked a full-time job until the business closed.
Scott had an amazing care team at MD Anderson Cancer Center who helped him beat this disease with each and every surgery. He came through it all with such grace - he was a champion!
Scott's priority in life was his family. He loved them all well and is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa; son, Brad Ginn (Madelyn); daughters, Sara Johnson (Lance), Mia Ginn and Brianne Ginn; the most precious granddaughter ever, Whitley Grace Johnson and of course, Caia, the prettiest yellow lab around!
His legacy of love began when he was born to Granville G. Ginn who precedes him in death and D. Geraldine Ginn Blackstone who survives him. Scott is also predeceased by step-father, Billy B. Blackstone. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Randy Ginn (Janet); sister, Georgia D. Wyles (Ron Clark); step-sister, Barbara Allred (Stan) and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Instead of flowers, Scott would be thrilled to have donations made in his memory to any animal rescue of your choosing.
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength." Isaiah 40:31.
Visitation will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Roller-Drummond. Funeral service will be 10:30am Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Roller-Drummond.
Please feel free to leave Scotty's family condolences and share memories here with the online guest book.
My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Lisa and the family. I met Scott in the year 2000. He was forming the Braves team in the Central AR Men's Senior Baseball League, and it was my "rookie" year. I played many summers of baseball with Scott, mostly playing behind him in the field as he pitched. He was known on our team as a "War Horse" on the mound - a fierce, relentless competitor. So, it did not surprise me that he faced his cancer with the same grinding determination: "Throw the next pitch. Throw the next pitch. Oh, you hit that one, well, let's see how you handle this...." Without Fear. Many years after that first season, Scott was retiring from coaching and managing, so I decided I would take it on and I asked him to give me some advice on how to be a good manager. Expecting an overflow of information and material, he said "Just be very organized and very honest." Those simple directions were my guiding principles of managing for more than 20 years in the league. Scott, we may not have kept in the best touch, but you've always been with me. I mourn your passing but celebrate the excellent man you were and the exemplary life you led. Rest peacefully now.
Scott was such a good man and such an inspiration to all who knew him. I am sure that he taught quite a few people how to endure health issues with grace, showing that His grace is sufficient for all circumstances we find ourselves in. There is not a day that goes by that we don't think of you LIsa and the kids and the family. We continue to pray for you all. He is in paradise with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is no longer in pain or turmoil. May you continue finding peace in Him, keeping your eyes on Him. Love to you all.
Appreciated your friendship. Thanks for the positive memories.
Blessings to your family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Scotty’s passing. I grew up in a house with adjoining backyards. I still live there, and still love Ms. Geraldine! I can see where Scotty got his determination and strength from! Prayers for peace and comfort that only God can provide, and I know that’s who the family is leaning on.
I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers and thought for you and your entire family.
Scott was one of the nicest person I had ever met. I knew him from Schneider Uniforms.
Scott was a true friend which we met through this dreaded disease that both of us had. He was a true blessing to be considered one of his many friends. Prayers for his families.
Scotty, as I knew him from our amazing close youth group at 47th Street Baptist Church was always one of the nicest guys that I knew! I'm not surprised because he had the best sweet Christian parents and family. I met his precious wife Lisa and she was a blessing while helping to sell my parents home. I really don't know how I'm going to deal with the next time my our daughter goes for her next scan check at MD Anderson in October without talking with Scotty. He helped me and my family since last February with any and all knowledge we needed regarding Houston and MDA. He was so kind and has regularly kept check on how she is doing even while he was preparing to go for his stay and surgery. I am thankful in the hope we have in Jesus and I have no doubt that I will see him again! I also know that he is completely healed but I sure will miss him! I am praying and will continue to pray for Lisa, the kids, his siblings, and his sweet mom.
Love, Barry and Lisa Hoffmann
