of Greenbrier, AR
August 5, 1938 - August 27, 2025
Barbara Stone of Greenbrier went to be with our Lord on August 27, 2025. She was 87 years old and had lived a vibrant and full life. She was born in Plumerville, Arkansas on August 5, 1938 to Everett and Ella Mae Jenkins.
She had a love for music which began as she played the piano for the Portland Baptist Church in Plumerville beginning as a young teenager. She was a Pastoral Care secretary at Baptist Hospital for 20 years, where she also played the piano for Chapel services. She was married to Tommy Stone for over 50 years and he preceded her in death, as did her parents; son, Tim Stone; brother, Raymond Jenkins and a niece, Roxanne Withers.
She is survived by her son, Michael Stone (wife, Bev); 7 grandchildren, Katy Stone, Rachel Goodroe (husband, Hunter), Brad Stone (wife, Chrystal), Tim Stone, Michael Stone, Caroline Sturdavant (husband, Chris) and Carter Stone. She has 6 great-grandchildren, Andre, Marcus, Maria, Hayden, Oliver and Stella. She is also survived by her niece, Connie Jenkins and so many relatives and friends.
She was a member of Markham Street Baptist Church and a believer in Jesus Christ as Savior. We want to thank the care team at Greenbrier Nursing Home for their compassionate and kind support over these past few months.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday September 2, 2025 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with visitation at 10:00am and service at 11:00am with Rev. Pat Fulmer officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Praying for your family during this difficult time. I know Barbara is rejoicing in heaven today!!!
Loved her and all the family very much.
Grateful for many wonderful memories of Barbara, especially during her time of teaching kindergartners at Geyer Sorings FBC. Thinking of your devoted family as you celebrate her legacy. She loved you so much!
Aunt Barbara was such a gracious and loving lady. Always so kind and caring…she was truly an extension of the hands and feet of Christ. I will always remember her for making me feel loved and valued and that she was truly glad to see me. Our world is a richer place because of her life and I am honored to have known and loved her.
Praying for the family in this time of loss. With sincere sympathy, Leslie
I have so many precious memories of Barbara with Tommy, Mike and Tim and my family. She was truly a wonderful person, loved by so many. I know she will be missed here on earth but know she is so happy in Heaven with our Lord and her loved ones who have gone before. Goodbye Barbara until I see you in Heaven!
So sorry for your loss. You have my deepest condolences.
I worked at Baptist Health during the time Barbara was there and knew her so well. She was a beautiful soul! Always knew the kindest ways to approach people and help them as best she could. I’m sorry for your loss but thankful for her life and knowing she’s with her Jesus! God bless you all at this time.
