Opal Dean Stevenson, age 78, of Damascus, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2025.
Opal was of the Baptist faith. She was a home maker who spent her life taking care of all her nieces and nephews and all the kids of the community who she called her own.
She loved a good game of bingo from time to time.
Opal is preceded in death by her husband, Blast OD Stevenson; parents, Cloyd Earl Hurley and Goldie Mary Clay and two brothers, Dan Hurley and Darvin Hurley.
She is survived by her sister, Syblelene (Jerry) Mckenzie of Damascus; sister-in-law, Patsy Hurley of Plumerville; 11 nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

I've known Opal n Syble Hurley since child hood. 60yrs I loved Opal n talked to her before she went into a nursing home
she told me she was in bad shape

You were one of the main reasons I survived and had such a great childhood. Growing up with you and OD are some of my fondus memories I have. You were loved beyond your knowledge.

You loved to play poker and was always up for a game. We nicknamed you “nightmare” because if you stayed in the hand. you would have the best hand. We’ll miss you and the good times we had.
