John William Christopher of Conway, AR, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 29, 2025. He was born the sixth of seven children to Joseph E. Christopher and Ruby Pope Christopher on September 4, 1943, in Bonne Terre, Missouri.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce. His daughters; Lora Christopher, Heather Polner (Dave), and son John, Jr. His grandchildren, Colby Christopher, Josh Deaver, Mashaylee Deaver, Andrew Christopher (Abby) and Katelyn Christopher. Great Grandchildren; Aurora Christopher, Zahriea Scott, Carson Christopher and Desai Williams. Brothers, Sidney Christopher, Richard Christopher and sister Nancy Lawson. Lots of nieces and nephews and friends and special Aunt Ruby Webb.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Alfred Paul, Edward and Thomas Christopher.
He joined the US Air Force after high school and served four years. During that time, he did an 11 month tour in Da Nang Vietnam. He then came home and lived the rest of his life in Conway, Arkansas. John also worked for Virco for 34 years.
John was a faithful member of Robinson Center Church of Christ. (Best job ever!) and was very active in the church, the R & C and in the Lord's work. John was all welcoming new visitors and making new lifelong friends. He loved all of you with all his heart and was an encourager to many as well as you encouraging him, making him the loving, funny soul he was.
He loved all his fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord as family.
Our hearts are heavy for you, Joyce. John will be missed by all who knew him.
We are certain that you know the peace that passes understanding, as God is your comforter … yet the pain and heartache is so much to bear. We pray His blessings on you and family, as you grieve this great loss.
Love and prayers from the Andrews
