Grace Eleanor Humphrey

of Greenbrier, AR

September 23, 1945 - July 24, 2025

Grace (Bute) Humphrey, 79, formerly from Ottawa, IL went with the Lord, July 24th, 2025. She was born September 23rd, 1945 in Chicago Heights, IL to the late Samuel and Rose Marguerite Bute (Whited). Grace was also preceded in death by her 3 brothers, David Bute, Robert Bute, her twin brother, George Granger (Bute) and her two sons, Richard W Humphrey Jr. and Jeffrey B Humphrey.

Grace was a member of the Methodist Church of Greenbrier for several years. She participated in a local bowling league for a short time in Illinois. Before moving to Arkansas, for two years, she helped lead her granddaughter's brownie troop. Grace loved spending her time knitting, sewing, crocheting and quilting. After moving to Arkansas, she joined a local quilting group where she made new friends and learned new quilting techniques.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family: husband of almost 58 years, Richard W Humphrey Sr.; daughter, Tammara (James M) Ernst of Washburn, IL; 4 grandchildren, Scott Riley, Chennele Beer, James W Ernst and Critter Ernst and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm Friday, August 1st, 2025 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Graveside services will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway at 12:30PM. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Methodist Church fellowship hall in Greenbrier for family and close friends after the services.
