John Edward Gattis, 50, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025 in Paris. He was born on July 15, 1975 in Paris to his parents, Jimmy Gattis and Janice L. (Owens) Gattis.
John worked for many years as a CNA. He loved to go hunting and fishing, riding his four wheeler, mowing with his new lawnmower and most of all spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his son, Paxton Gattis; father, Jimmy Gattis; his brother, Daniel Lee Gattis and his grandmothers, Ruby Jewell Gattis and Emma Mickley.
He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Shandi (Varnell) Gattis of Paris; his son, Colton Gattis of Paris; his mother, Janice Gattis of Scranton; his step son, Larry Sanner of Hazen; his step daughter, Hailey Sanner of Paris; his sisters, Michelle Weems and husband, Terry of Hazen and Crystal Gattis of Scranton; his brothers, Brian Johnson and wife, Tonya of Subiaco, J.R. Summers of Dublin and Jason Gattis and wife, Sarah of Paris and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Prairie View Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
