Vonna Dean (Spears) Coker, 77, of Conway, passed from this life into the next on Sunday, July 13th, 2025. She was born on August 1st, 1947, in Conway, to the late Lavonne and Dean Spears. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Danny Spears, all of Conway.
Vonna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Gail Coker, on July 1st, 1965. They enjoyed 60 years together and built a life together rooted in love, faith, and family.
Mrs. Coker is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lamont Gail Coker, her brother, Sam (Connie) Spears, both of Conway, and three children: Teresa Dickenson, Lisa Murdock (David), and James Coker (Dawn). She is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many loved extended family members and friends.
Vonna had a love for antiques and ''junk'' of all makes, models, shapes, and sizes, and ran the Precious Memories Antiques Mall at Pickles Gap Village for many years. She also enjoyed the occasional visit to wine country at Sainte Genevieve. Vonna now resides in the Promised Land, where all thirst shall be quenched.
Visitation will be from 2 pm to 3 pm, Sunday, July 20th, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm after visitation. Interment will follow in the days to come at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Vonna will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generosity, and loving spirit.
She will be deeply missed by all.
I was blessed to know Mrs Coker as her caregiver for almost a year. I am so sad to hear of her passing. She was such a joyful person. She treated me like a part of her family from the very beginning. I will miss her always.
I was so saddened to see that Vonna Dean had passed. She was so sweet and funny and she lit up every room she was in! I’m very thankful for all the laughs we shared at CHS and send love and prayers to her family. She will always be in your hearts and in time the beautiful memories you all have will help to heal your hearts.
Gail and family: you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Just found out about Vonna. Always one of my favorite people. Just brightened up a room. Started working together in 1966 at Fred’s. Our favorite pastime was to pick at each other and we did that almost 60 years and we were good at it!

dearly missed.🥰

RIP Cousin.
I remember when Vonna Dean married my cousin Gail “way back when…”I was their flower girl at their wedding, and it was one of the highlights of my life.
Vonna was always upbeat with a smile on her face. She never met a stranger and instead met new friends.
Gail, Theresa, Lisa, Jamie - may the good memories of so many shared life moments comfort you during this time. Just remember
that I’m just a phone call away if you need me.
With you in spirit,
Christy
