of Little Rock, AR
April 27, 1947 - July 12, 2025
Emma Jewel ''Judy'' Gray went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2025. She was born on April 27, 1947 in Banks, Arkansas to her late parents, Desmond and Emma ''Lucille'' Denham. Judy graduated from Little Rock, Hall High School in 1965. She married Ralph Elijah Gray in 1966 & they moved to San Diego, California as Ralph was in the Navy. Finally settling in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1969.
In 1971 they had their only child, Tammy. Judy loved her daughter; she was the light of her life along with her grandsons, Gray and Cash. She would often tell each of them, ''I love you to the moon and back''. She never missed watching the boys when playing football, basketball or golf. She loved movies and cooking dinner with her family. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and all of Tammy's spectacular decorations.
Judy was a kind caring, Christian lady who always thought of others rather than herself. She never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. She was never too big or too small, she was just right in any situation and accepted everyone for who they were.
In addition, she enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, fishing, traveling and shopping. Judy absolutely loved birds, particularly red ones. She had them all around her home. She loved red hogs too. She was a huge Razorback fan. She was a very good dancer, loved live music and was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley.
Judy was a fighter. She survived Breast Cancer and worked very hard to recover. She won that fight. Her cancer never returned.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Gray Lee and her husband, Roberts; two grandchildren, Gray and Cash Lee and Puffer, a miniature Schnauzer, who was her best buddy that she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Jerry and Ricky Denham.
A private family graveside will be held at Taylor Cemetery in Leola, Arkansas on Friday, July 18, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time and the days ahead.

Judy’s house was the best house to get ready to go out! I loved her! Her laughter would fill the space we were in… Judy, you are missed. Love, Tina
Judy was one of my dearest and best friends. I have so many fond memories of our times together. We used to go out to lunch together when we were working in offices close to each other. She is very much loved and missed by me.
Judy was such a light in my life!- she was like a second mom to me! She was a very sweet, affectionate, loving, and sweet mother! She cooked the best country dinners- I cherished every time she put all her love into everything she did and loved her family with all of her heart! I have so many wonderful memories of her and loved her just like she was my mom! I will miss her till the end of the earth and I can’t wait to reunite with her in heaven and give her the biggest hug! My heart is sad, but I know I will see her again! I love you, Judy!
