Selma Hendrix Nix passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025 at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Selma was born September 28, 1926 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to Merle and Clara Elliott Hendrix.

She is preceded in death by the parents; her husband, Sammy L. Nix, whom she married January 1, 1945; three sisters, Flo Swindle, Maxine Davenport and Grace Moore; as well as her brother, Thomas Hendrix.

She is survived by sisters, Syble Morgan and Nell Lea; sons, Glenn Nix and Gary "Gert" Nix; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Nix; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

Selma was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs.
